Rashmi profile photoMy first influences in the art of painting were by Amruta Shergil and Van Gough. I was inspired and used to love their bold style, expressiveness and finesse of their craft.
Right since beginning, I was fascinated by the power of this medium to express without speaking a single word. A unique still of expression using colors to brighten, dilute or darken. In my view, this is the most powerful creative medium to have such immense uniqueness in its expression.

It never crossed in my mind to do anything else in life. My mind always remain occupied in the world of colors, canvas and creative craft.

I completed my professional education i.e. graduation in Fine arts. Later, I got to move, live and visit so many places across the world with my husband and family. That gave me ample time and opportunity to see, follow, experience, express and expand my passion and horizon of artistic affair.

I do not like any confinement or limitations. I get thrilled each time I start a new painting and find difficult to come out of it. I love experimenting and swiftly move across different mediums. My preference is to use bold and vibrant colors. I take my own time to complete and start over again.

I love sharing and imparting my skills and eager to learn new styles. In Singapore, where I have been living since 2011, I got opportunity to coach, guide, teach and share the craft with young kids, IB students and it has been great fun. I am extremely passionate about what I do. I aspire to inspire viewers to follow their own mind and heart through my work.

I do it for the pure pleasure, joy and the fulfillment it gives to me. I hope you do like my work and get inspired to follow your own heart!!
